Q.No.155: - You can listen to your fried round a corner, but you cannot watch him/her. Why?

Ans: - You can listen your friend round a corner because waves can propagate from solid medium.

we can hear our friend around corner but can't see him, it is due to phenomena of diffraction. sound wave has large wavelength, which is comparable to size of corner , so it can diffract and after diffraction of sound wave we can hear our friend. while wave length of light is much smaller then the size of corner, so it can diffract through corner and that's why we can't see our friend

The thing is that light has very small wavelenght compared to sound so it diffracts round the corner as sound is 3Dimentional
