Q.No.176: - A conductor wire generates a
voltage while moving through a magnetic field. In what direction should the
wire be moved, relative to the field to generate the maximum voltage?
Ans: - When we place a conductor wire in a magnetic field then it will
experience a magnetic force in the direction perpendicular to the magnetic
field. To generate the maximum voltage (emf) in the conductor we must move the
wire in such a way that angle between velocity or wire and magnetic field must
be 900.
