Q.No.159: - Is there any difference
between echo and reflection of sound? Explain.
Ans: - No, there is no difference between echo and reflection. Echo can
be defined as, when sound is incident on the surface of a medium it bounces
back into the first medium. This phenomenon is also called reflection of sound.

It is not true
so what is true??
it is not true every echo is reflection but every every reflection is not echo
it is not true every echo is reflection but every every reflection is not echo
please answer properly
The difference between echo and reflection of sound is that echo is due to reflection of sound
Reflection of sound can occur at any distance from the surface of the other medium. But for echo minimum distance must be atleast 17m from the surface of the other medium.
.Echo.
1)Incident soundwave must be bounced back from a hard and rigid surface.
2)Echo can be observed only if the minimum distance between listener and refelctive surface is 17m.
3)Echo can be observed only when time difference between original sound and echo is 0.1s.
.Reflection.
1)Incident sound wave can be bounced back from hard or soft surface.
2)Refelction of sound may occur at any distance.
3)No suxh requirement is necessary for relflection of sound.
THERE IS DIFFERNCE BETWEEN ECHO AND REFLECTION OF SOUND
Theirs difference between echo and reflection because every sounds reflected but didn't produces echo because theirs a condition that if time difference between reflected and the transmitting sound is 0.1 s then echo is produced
yes there is also a difference b/w echo & reflection that echo is result & reflection is phenomenon.
Please describe true difference between echo and reflection of sound
Every reflection of sound is not echo but every echo is reflection of sound echo is conditional needs conditions to takeplace while reflection of sound takes place all the time
Yes there is difference between echo and reflection of sound because reflection is basic phenomenon but echo is result of multiple reflections.
There is a difference between echo and reflection of sound . reflection is a phenomenon and echo is result.
there is no proper answer
There is difference between echo and reflection that there are some conditions for the production of echo (1) for the production of echo the minimum distance should be at least 17 m between source and obstacle (2) the time interval between source and obstacle should be at least 0.1 s while for reflection there are no such conditions
